WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SPIRIT AND THE SOUL OF MAN?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SPIRIT AND THE SOUL OF MAN?

Answer:
The difference between the spirit and the soul is very clear in that they are two different entities or dimensions though they come from the same source or person called God.

The Spirit is formed or made of the word of God (Joh 6:63)

“The words I speak to you, they are spirit and life “

In another scripture John 1:1-4; “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God

All things were made by him… in him was life and the life was the light of men”.

But the Soul was made of the breath of God (Gen 2:7)

“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul"

The Spirit quickens the man and is heavenly. The soul gives man intelligence; emotion and will power; and is natural and earthly (1 Cor 15:45-47).

The life of the spirit is attached/related to God being eternal.

But the life of the soul is attached/related to the flesh through the blood which can be terminated or passed away; for this reason, blood is given for compensation or atonement for the soul (Leviticus 17:11).

The spirit and the soul is invisible to man, therefore many think they are the same; though they are in a union; yet they can exist in their individual dimensions.

Blessings:

The knowledge of the difference between the Spirit and the soul will bless your Christian life. Sin kills or separates the life of God from the spirit and when this happens the spirit is said to have died (Eph 2:1-3). But sin does not separate the life of the soul from the flesh and the blood until death occurs.

That is why everybody is living in the flesh, both sinners and saints alike; because all have sinned. (Rom 3:23) and all flesh is carrying sin in the body (Rom7:17-20).

So the blood is given for compensation to the soul/breath from God for living in the sinful body of the man, but when the man dies in sin; the soul shall die with it (Ezek 18:4) “The soul that sinneth, it shall die”.

When you know the difference between the spirit and the soul you will be happy. You will begin to appreciate the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus for the salvation of your spiritual life which was dead in sin.

And having believed in Jesus death, burial and resurrection; your spirit will be revived by God; recreated with everlasting life from God restored thereby making you a child of God.

Again, your new spirit is taken out of you and hidden in the body of Jesus in heaven waiting for the day of rapture which is the first resurrection. (Eph 2:6; Col 3:1-3; Joh 14:20; 1 Joh4:13, Rev 20:6).

Knowing this will help you confess your sins always with your mouth, believe Jesus with your soul/heart/ mind, which is the same to enable your soul to live together with the spirit of Jesus in your body. (Rom 10:9-13; 1 Cor 3:16-17; 6:19-20).

Message

So, Zachariah 12:1 said, Spirit is formed within the man” And Job said that soul is breathed in man; (Job 34:14).

We have also seen these two dimensions/ entities in separate manifestation.

When you are dreaming; your soul is in operation; you can go places without knowing what goes on round about your body or flesh until you wake up. But your soul having an intelligent domain; emotional domain and will power domain will be able to tell stories of what happens in the land of the dream.

But when you are in vision and trance, your spirit is in operation to express to you what events that take place in your spiritual environment. Do you understand it all?

God bless you
