What Is Resurrection Of the Dead, How Are The Dead Raised Up And With What Body Do They Come?

Answer: This is a mystery which the carnal mind cannot understand only by the revelation of the Holy Spirit you can understand it. Paul calls it a mystery (1 Cor 15:51).

Resurrection is coming back to life fully with new Spirit, soul and body! Paul sees this as a process which involves rapture and the first resurrection.

Which dead is referred here; when shall this event take place, what shall be the nature of those that shall be involved in the first resurrection and the second resurrection? What shall be the result of those resurrection events? And where will you belong?

Blessings: The knowledge of this revelation shall bless your life and ministry if you will be willing to read it unto the end.

It shall open your eyes to know that life does not end here on earth but continues for it is not over till it is over.

It will help you to seek now the better part of tomorrow when it is not too late. And to equip you with blessed hope that tomorrow shall be better than today if rapture or death occurs.

It gives you great assurance that you will make it to heaven and without doubt shall be a partaker of the great inheritance with Jesus and other Sons of God.

On the question of what is resurrection of the dead; and how are the dead raised up; and what body do they come?

Is all about spiritual events and can not by any means seek to know it from a carnal perspective. Let us take our text from 1 Cor 15:35-54.

This is a long passage but we will take it bit by bit to explain and help you to understand it.

“But some men will say, how are the dead raised up and with what body do they come?” vs 35.

And Paul said that you must understand that what you plant in the ground does not grow or quickened except it first dies.

He gave an example of corn or a yam. If you sow a yam, the body of the yam will begin to die and decay; but when it gets to the head; it will stop decaying because at the head of the yam is the life of the yam with which God used to cause it to grow up a new yam with new body. This is the operation of God (1 Cor 15:37-42).

In this way the resurrection of the dead takes place there is the natural body of a man. When it is buried God raises it up a spiritual body.

We were all dead spiritually in sin but the very moment you received Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour by the gospel; you become quickened, (Eph 2:1-6).

What does this mean? This means that at salvation God quickened or made alive by recreating your dead spirit after the image of Jesus Christ.

He takes your new spirit out of you and puts it in the glorified body of Jesus seated at the right-hand side of God in heaven (Eph 2:6).

And takes the Spirit of Jesus and puts it in your own body here on earth (John 14:20; 1 John 4:13).

Good. Until this Spirit exchange takes place; you never know the weight of sin; neither can you cry out to God for guinea repentance.

Today, in reality, Jesus Christ is carrying the Spirits of all believers throughout the whole world of both that are dead and alive in his glorious body in heaven.

This is the gathering of the Spirits of all believers in the body of Jesus Paul called the church. The body of Jesus in Ephesians 1:20-23;

“Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all” vs 23

What is the Spirit of believers doing in the body of Jesus in heaven? They are there waiting for the day of rapture for the living believers and resurrection for the dead believers. The Spirits are there as the life of the believers to be used by God to create a new you in as life the head of a yam.

On the day of rapture and resurrection, he will deliver or release the spirits of all believers he is carrying and clothe them with his glorious type of body (Phil 3:20-21).

And their souls which have intelligence; emotion, and willpower domain shall be attracted to these glorified bodies:

The first to experience this glorious change is the set or group of the believers that died on earth as it is written:

And the dead in Christ shall rise first” (1 Thess 4:16)

The next to experience the change shall be the living believers.

Jesus shall lead them and cause them to locate their souls and body on earth and overshadow them. And immediately their soul and body will be transformed into immortality and they disappear from the natural eyes of those around them to appear in the cloud of heaven with Jesus back to heaven; as it is written.

Then we which are alive are remaining shall be caught up together with them in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord”

This is what we Christians fondly call the rapture. But John in Revelation 20:6 call it the first resurrection.

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection on such the second death hath no power.
But they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years”.

But there shall be the second resurrection for sinners who have not Jesus Spirit in their bodies through repentance; as it is written.

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire”. Rev 20:15.

And Rev 21:8 calls this the second death”.

Where will you like to belong? The group for 1st resurrection or that of 2nd resurrection.

The choice is yours.
